We are looking for a self-motivated, analytical and results-driven Procurement Professional to join the procurement team of our client – a well-established production company based in Sofia.
This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement specialist who enjoys strategic sourcing, high-level negotiations with international suppliers, and making a real impact on cost efficiency and supply chain performance. The role will include strategic and tactical responsibilities within the direct procurement function. This individual will aid in delivering year-over-year cost reduction, on-time delivery, assurance of supply, quality and working capital improvement initiatives with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new global suppliers, building long-term strategic partnerships
- Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers, securing competitive pricing, favorable terms and reliable service levels
- Drive cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendors
- Manage supplier performance, demand forecasting and supply risk mitigation to ensure uninterrupted operations
- Support long-term demand planning and allocation strategies aligned with company objectives
- Partner with purchasing specialists to optimize day-to-day procurement processes
- Maintain high accuracy and governance of procurement master data in the ERP system
- Collaborate with Product Development on new product introductions, including sourcing of specialized tooling and components
- Perform financial and operational analyses focused on working capital, inventory costs and procurement budgets
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of procurement experience with a solid track record in strategic sourcing
- Proven success in complex commercial negotiations and vendor relationship management
- Ability to understand and work with technical/engineering product specifications (adv.)
- Excellent English (C1/C2 level) – both written and spoken – as the role involves regular communication and negotiations with international suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP or another ERP system is a strong advantage
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to evaluate multiple data sources to enable decision making or present clear recommendations to leadership.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and act in a proactive manner.
- Self-motivated and demonstrate ability to work autonomously in a fast paced, yet strategic environment
- Occasional travels within the country
